• to effectively help counselor how to balance between discipline and loving campers in spite of different behaviors

• to understand what it makes camping a special experience when counselor take time to develop important key relationships which will make camp very powerful.

• to help camp personnel look at the inner man how fully is he/she prepared morally, physically and spiritually

• to expose counselor see the basic needs of campers, how they learn and the camp counselor style of leadership where he make preparation

• to motivate camp counselor to be prepared for camp counseling experience that will result the probability of enjoyable camp

Training Objectives

Preparation for effective camp counseling includes study in various areas of Christian camping in relational need between the campers and camp personnel which are paramount in every Christian camp setting:

1. To help participants a clear understanding of Christian camping and its purposes;
2. To know the practical understanding of the campers need and how best to work with in guiding them with all aspect of the camps;
3. To learn a working knowledge of the position of the camp counselor, the qualification, personal evaluation, careful preparation and the basic skills necessary to do the job;
4. To be able develop a sound understanding of basic relationship with each campers and other camp team in relation to policies, procedures and programs of the each particular camps.
